What i don't like....

I hate bad news.... I hate sad news...

sejak dua menjak nih, I have read some sad news... Teoh... Yasmin... stuffs happening in Malaysia... hmmm... ntah bila2 la agaknya things will change... People become more responsible, no more corruption, leaders working for rakyat... I am abroad, and I am sad looking at what is happening "to" Malaysia...

then Yasmin... hmmm... ntahlah.. lost for words,... tak nak pikir panjang2 coz it will just make me feel more sedih... well, great people die young, they say... agaknya lah...

I also hate looking back on what has happened in life.... I hate thinking about the past...

that's why comedy is my favourite genre of movie to watch.... only funny stuffs... only fun stuffs... there is a lot of sad things happening in this world, and I just don't want to learn more about them... not that I don't care, it's just that if I care "more", it will just make me feel bad...

So lately, I have not been enjoying reading Malaysian newspapers..., and dunno why, something have been triggering my mind thinking about my life in the past... things which have taken place from the day I came back to Malaysia, until the day I left Malaysia (again)... How come...? and the funny thing is that only the bad things keep on coming back to my mind... may be the feeling of guilt is still there.... "unfinished business"...?

sebelah tower C adalah tower D yg tergendala... still under construction, siap slow2... maka paham2 ler why rental apartment gua nih murah sket.... tong tang tong tang bunyi oghang bertukang tiap2 hari siang dan malam, dan kengkadang sampai lewat malam sgt...

So.... itulah citernya... now that I have settled down nicely, back to the usual "train train de la vie", the day to day chores...

Nespresso junkie...!!

Sempena masuk rumah baru nih, adalah dapat "house warming gift", apa oghang puteh kata...? :)

dapat Nespresso machine sebijik komeeee...!!! perghh...!! memang kawan sorang nih baik hati... sebenonya, I have been helping him quite a fair bit since he arrived here about a year ago... bawak ke sana, bawak ke sini.... gaji dia beso, oghang singapore... jeles teman...!!

bak kata pepatah, oghang berbahasa, kita berbudi... tak ada ler terdetik hati mengharapkan aper2 balasan.... bila dah dapat benda nih, rasa segan ler pulak dibuatnya... after this, have to tell him, kalo dia bagi lagi benda2 cam nih, gua tak mau tolong dia lagi... lecehlaaaa... naik segan lak dibuatnya....


sempena dah dapat nih, alamat jadik Nespresso junkie ler teman...!! teman suka kopi weh... abis lerrrr...

errr... dia kata ari tuh, dia nak juai dia punya sofa sebab dia nak dah beli yg baru... hmmm... dia kata, I have the first right of refusal... kalo nak, sila bagitahu dia how much I am willing to pay for it... knowing him, teman letak rege murah pun dia akan juai kat teman punya... (ari tuh dia siap dah kata nak bagi kat teman FOC jer...!! ish...!! tak nak lah...!!)

baik senyap jer... lagipun, kat mana teman nak letak sofa kulit yg regenya AED6000 tuh (yang kalo teman beli, teman akan letak rege AED1000 jer... hehehe...)...? apartment nih bukannya Villa 3 tingkat...!!

I am back...!! from new home...!!

akhirnya semua settle...! alhamdulillah... back to normal life now... hehe... got TV, got phone line, got internet access...

sekarang boley surf internet again...

hope that I will have a good time in this new home...!!

"Burj no Views"

Sejak dua menjak keadaan ekonomi melecet nih, prices of apartment rents have gone down tremendously. Rent at a prime area in Dubai has gone down 35% (some areas even more), dan sesapa yg teringin nak duduk tempat2 yg baguih2 nih, bila lagi… inilah masanya…!!

Sempena teman dah tak sanggup nak duduk kat Sharjah (menempuh traffic jam tiap2 pagi), maka teman pun sedang mencari rumah apartment yg baru…

Oleh sebab2 tertentu, teman mencari rumah dekat dgn Dubai Mall ler… mula2 pikio nak duduk kat Bur Dubai…. Tetapi lepas tengok2 apartment kat situ, rasa kurang pulak selera… Maka ternampak ler satu advertisement ni…. “Burj Views” apartments…

Huaaa… bangunan baru bukak, dan baling batu dari Dubai Mall pun boley sampai… (ahaks…!! Maknanya sebelah Burj Dubai jer tuh…). Gi tengok2… hmmm, above budget, but after calculating, and calculating… and calculating, and calculating again… potong sana, potong sini, ok, let’s go for it…!! Kata kata semangat – we only live once…!!

So sementara sewa tengah affordable nih, maka merasalah tinggal di sebelah Burj Dubai… Next year, may be have to move elsewhere oledi…. Errr, anyhow, name of the place is Burj Views, but my new apartment at level 3, does not have the view of the Burj Dubai… Maka, unofficially, I have renamed my apartment as “Burj no Views”.. ahaks….!!

Dah siap masuk this cmng wknd, will snap gambo2 (termasuk the view from the apartment) and upload here…

Enjoy it while you can…!! Hidup hanya sekali….!! And the best motto of them all (sempena anah Peghak sejati…) – bio pape, ase begaye…!!

Sekarang boley hantam gomen bagus2 punya....!!:)

Dengan ini, saya dgn penuh rasa bangganya memberitahu sekalian umat seluruh dunia bahawasanya, saya… baru sahaja telah habis membayar balik wang gantirugi biasiswa JPA (kerana telah melanggar kontrak…!) bertahun2 yang dulu… Tu lah, saper suruh tak mau keje dgn gomen? Padan muka aku…!

Hmmm… It took me 11 years to pay back this scholarship… perghhh….!!! Siksa tuh…! Payment schedule was for 10 years, but biasalah kengkadang sesetengah bulan “short” sket, so tak “sempat” bayar.

Guess what? Setelah abis tempoh bayaran yg telah ditetapkan, dan oleh kerana jumlah penuh bayaran masih belum diselesaikan, maka JPA mula menghantar surat yang kertasnya berwarna merah (more to Pink to me)… perghhh….!! Garangnya…!! Tiap2 bulan dapat surat warna “pink”…! Haha…

But now, it is all over…!! Duit allocated to pay that loan will now be used to pay my income tax kat Singapore yg tak abis bayar lagi….! Ahaks…!! But not much, cikit jer… sebulan dua abis ler… lepas tuh, apa lagi… enjoy ler…!!

Yeahhhhh…!!!

Kepada JPA, tenkiu, tenkiu, tenkiu…! Kosong-kosong naaa...!! wa tara utang sama lu lagi...!! :D

Dan atas sebab gua tara utang sama gomen lagi, sikalang, gua boley hantam sama itu kerajaan BN baguih2 punya....!!! muahahaha....!! (so wicked...!! haha...)

tapi yg lecehnya... penerjun2 nih... errr... disangkut ke dinding dgn satu penyangkut yg diletakkan dekat dgn lokasi "anu" patung2 nih... dah la pelik pulak rasanya kalo tengok dari tepi... like the "anu" is holding the whole badan to the dinding....

hmmm... errr, budak2 tutup mata...!! hep...!!! tutup mata tuhhh....!!! :D

Morning sun...

First time ever that I get to see the morning sun perfectly round like seeing the moon... ini disebabkan oleh cuaca berjerebu kat Dubai sekarang nih... interesting jugak tengok matahari camni... nasib baik sempat snap2 gambo...:)

Matahari dilindungi bayang2 pokok kurma...!!! muahahaha...!!:)

Gua gerenti, kalo kat Mesia, tentu depa dah keluaq kepercayaan baru... (buah kurma yg kena matahari mcm nih, tentu power sedap giler punya... errr... ataupun, jgn sesekali makan buah kurma yg dah kena sinar mentari yg suam2 gini... nanti anak lahir tak cukup bulan ker... aper kerr... alaaa,... biasa ler makcik2 goreng2 tak benda lain nak gebang2... haha...

Mari kita buat IC UAE

Sekarang nih, semua pendatang halal kat UAE nih (foreign workers/ expatriates dan kaum2 yg sewaktu dgnnya) kena ada a smart card ID...

Biasalah kan, undang2 kat UAE nih, depa kasi hantam kromo saja. So ari tuh, depa buat announcement that all foreigners yg keghojer kat UAE nih kena ada that new ID card before the end of the year 2008… maka kelam kabut lah semua warga asing kat sini nak pi buat ID card…

Depa2 kat “ateh” tu bukan tau apa, jadik bila depa buat announcement cam tuh, abis lah kelam kabut opis Emirates ID authorities dgn segala jenih manusia yg kelam kabut pegi buat kad…. Mana cukup capacity? Camna nak process sampai ribu2 manusia sekali gus…? internet site EIDA pun langsung mcm tak berfungsi… apply buat appointment sekarang, tahun depan baru dpt slot, boley…? Haha…

Maka oleh kerana nak cover malu agaknya (agaknyalah kan.. I oso dunno …), maka tempoh utk buat ID card nih telah dilanjutkan sampai ke hujung tahun 2009...

Sebagai seorang yg bertanggungjawab maka, teman pun pergi ler membuat ID card nih last wknd…. Disebabkan khabarnya, centre2 kat Dubai nih selalu penuh, kononnya, maka teman pun siap bulan plan baguih2 punya supaya tak perlu queue lelama kat EIDA centre tuh

Mula2 pegi ke EIDA centre kat Rashidiya… kat website dia kata this centre is open on Sat from 8am to 2pm… sampai2 tepat jam 8am… punyalah hepi tak terkata sebab there was nobody else at that centre… Nampak gaya mcm boley selesai in half an hour… nak masuk pintu EIDA centre tuh, tengok2 kunci… err… how comes…? Check punya check, nobody was there… hmmm, pelik bin aneh… maka phonelah EIDA call centre… to my surprise, that centre is not open on Sat… Kanenaaa…..!!! abih tuh, kalo tak bukak awat depa kata bukak kat website….? Sebijik mcm Mesia, hahahaha…!!!

Nasib baik ada back up plan… naik kete balik, terus ke “pekan” Al Dhaid, about 1 hour drive out of Sharjah city centre… (mcm Ipoh ke Kuala Kangso ler pulak…).. sampai2 terus masuk centre tuh, terus ambik tiket, tok tek tok tek tok tek… 45mn done…!! Tak kecoh2 mcm kat Dubai kena dtg awai2 queue panjang2….

So, utk sesapa yg nak tahu… Al Dhaid is on the way to Fujeirah/Khorfakkan… before Friday market. At the first roundabout kat pekan tuh, fllw direction “Government Buildings”, 1.5km onwards, you will find this bldg on your right. EIDA centre is located on the 1st floor of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry bldng. Sebelah this Chamber of Commerce bldng is the Municipality bldg…. bayo AED320 (AED300 utk 3 tahun validity, AED20 for dlvry service), then 2 weeks later, they will send your card to you… abih cerita…!!

Tak payah kecoh2, tak payah terburu2 kat EIDA centre kat Karama atau pun kat Barsha tuh…!! (or even to the one at Rashidiya…).

Jalan2 cari rumah...

me have to find a new apartment before 19th July 2009... that's less than 15 days away... looking for a place in Dubai, tak mau duduk kat Sharjah lagi dah... (bukan tak kenang budi, tapi tak sanggup mengharung traffic jam tiap2 hari...)

tetapi masih belum jumpa apartment yang sesuai di hati... hmm... start to panick a bit... next wknd will be the last wknd to look for an apartment... the following wknd, kena "chalo" oledi from the current apartment... errr....

masa2 beginilah terfikir, bukan ker senang kalo aku ada rumah tetap kat sini... tak payah berpindah randah... (mcm masa mula2 dtg keghojer kat KL dulu2...).

at the same time, terkenang teman kat apartment teman kat KL nun.... hmmm... rindu...!! (ahals...!!), dan penuh dgn kenangan... semoga kawan yg stay kat situ sekarang, akan menjaga apartment tuh dgn baiknya...!!

kalo takkk...!! aku sepeku baguih2 punya nanti....!! hahaha....!!

Yemenia Airways plane crashes in sea off Comoros; 153 on board

Moroni: An Airbus A310-300 from Yemen with 153 people on board crashed into choppy seas as it tried to land in bad weather on the Indian Ocean archipelago of Comoros on Tuesday, officials said.

Two French military planes and a French ship left the Indian Ocean islands of Mayotte and Reunion to search for the Yemenia aircraft that was carrying nationals from France and Comoros.

An official from the Yemeni state carrier said the plane had 142 passengers, including three infants, and 11 crew on board. It was flying from Sanaa to Moroni, the capital of the main island of the Comoros archipelago.

"The flight was expected at 2230 GMT. Before landing the control tower lost communication with the crew," said Hadji Ali, the director of Moroni international airport.

"The weather conditions were unfavourable with strong winds," he added.

perrghhhh....!! gua dah naik flight Yemenia nih beberapa kali dah... gi jumpa customer kat Yemen, gi balik Mesia (return...)... and quite a number of Malaysians in Dubai often use this airline to go back KL... murah beb...! tapi sekarang nih, I wonder berapa ramai yang akan ambik flight nih utk balik KL... tak sanggguuuuupppp....!! hehe

And a staggering 1.4 million children die every year because when they do, it kills them.

And now, you can buy it in Dubai, for the princely sum of dhs250 a bottle.

That is the price of a bottle of drinking water unveiled last night at Harvey Nichols when Bling H20 - a crystal-encrusted bottle of water - made its debut in the emirate.

From August, ‘ultra-luxury’ versions of this pricey thirst quencher will be available for sale at the store, with bottles retailing at dhs180 and dhs250 a pop.

The same amount of money would supply a child in Africa with water for life.

Harvey Nichols also has two limited edition Bling H2O bottles to sell - each one embellished with 10,000 Swarovski crystals and yours for a mere dhs15,000.

According to goodplanet.org, 5,000 people die every day because of dirty drinking water, while 1.1 billion people in developing countries currently have no, or inadequate, access to clean drinking water.
