Ah Beng's wish : when I die, I wanna die like my grandpa who died peacefully in his sleep, not screaming like all the passengers in the car that he was driving..!!
Ah Beng at an Art Gallery : I suppose this horrible looking thing is what you call modern art ?
Art dealer: I beg your pardon sir..., thats a mirror!
Ah Beng is writing a letter very slowly.
A friend asks: "Why are you writing so slowly?
Ah Beng : "I'm writing to my 6 yr old son, he can't read very fast"

Jalan2 cari kerja

view from 22nd floor, Kingdom Tower, Riyadh- USD5000 relocation allowance - nak hantar barang balik Mesia (banyak weh... 2 tahun punya hidup), hantar barang gi Riyadh, bila sampai Riyadh nak beli barang2 utk rumah baru (mana yang tak ada tuh...). this is a must, no relocation allowance, I don't even want to consider going to Riyadh, lantaklah apa nak jadik (dah nekad dah)
- also asked for the company to pay for 1 room apartment in Riyadh (furnished) or annual housing allowance of SAR30k (which will allow me to have a 1 room apartment in a "compound"). ini kira cuba nasib jer, kalau tak dapat pun tak kisah sangat... sebab outside of "compound" area, I can get a 1 room apartment non furnished for SAR15k per year. it is NOT a MUST, kalau tak dapat, I think that I can push it down my throat, no hal....
- we follow initial arrangement, I stay in Dubai as per contract and go to Riyadh may be once a month or twice a month. will get a Sales Manager in Riyadh who will report to me and handle customers in KSA, I will need to guide him to get the biz. At the same time, I will have to look for biz outside of KSA (Gulf region - UAE. Kuwait etc etc)
- move to Riyadh, and they will pay for the relocation allowance ONLY...
- no need to move to Riyadh (leceh la nak pindah randah nih...)
- gua memang kurang berkenan dgn company nih (and its employees), very havoc one, dan kalau keadaan berterusan, sure punah ranahnya delivery & support to customers. Employees yang ada skrng... oh my God...!!! (imagine Janice in "Friends" say that... "Ohhhh myyyyy Godddd...")... gua pun tak tahu camna si Pak Sheikh tuh punya otak... letak jer sedara mare dia dlm company tuh (yang tak gheti2 nak buat apa2 pun, kepala lebih besar dari kepala gajah, tapi otak sebesar otak tikus....)... kalau company is full of overhead, unnecessary expenses, camna nak buat untung...? kalau tak buat untung, camna nak bagi bonus...? u tell me...?
- tambahan pulak, bila gua ada kat UAE, gua boleh continue search for other jobs... kan ker bagus camtu...?
- after staying 1.75 months in Riyadh, memang trauma....!! memang tak nak stay kat sana...! actually, I seriously believe that I had enough becoz of the people who were working with me in the office (not Riyadh, I think I can survive Riyadh...). I just can't stand their lazyness, nak tunjuk pandai tapi sebenarnya bodoh attitude, couldn't care less attitude, the Lebanese hot air, and the family biz management style yang ala2 tak kisah buat untung ker tak...
wish me luck....!!!

gambo2 airport Riyadh- "Compound" is a housing area reserved for none Saudis (where local Saudi law doesn't apply....). normally the living condition is really good there, have all facilities - good gym, sauna, swimming pool, kindergarten, supermarket, nice furnished apartment.... for some people, living in a compound is like "living normally" (no black abaya for ladies, can go swimming satu family etc etc). Local Saudis are not allowed to stay in a "Compound", it is only reserved for "Expats" (irregardless of your country and/or religious background). tengok movie "The Kingdom" starring Jamie Foxx (cerita pasal "bombing" kat satu "American Compound" when teh kids were playing baseball)
- btw, separuh gaji bulan April masih tak sampai2 lagi...! siksanya... kena ikat perut.... ntah2 depa akan transfer sekali dgn gaji bulan May agaknya.... bila tanya, depa jawab "Bukra.... bukra..." (esok). esoknya bila tanya, depa jawab lagi "bukra.... insyaAllah, bukra..."... "Bukra kepala hotak ko...!!" (hehehe...)

- a machine to iron clothes automatically. even better if it is a 3in1 machine : to wash, to dry, to iron automatically...
- a medicine that all Saudis must take everyday, to get them to wake up, work hard without complaint, obedient... but still remain bodoh (sebab kalau depa pandai, then I will loose my job in KSA...:))
2) Name 4 Things That Should Never Have Been Invented
- 24hour TV station - we spend too much time watching TV sampai tak cukup tido tengok movie2 bodoh kengkadang.... minda sangkut sebab asyik tengok TV, minda tertutup... no imagination, bila berada dlm situasi yang tak familiar, otak tak boleh process and cannot find alternative solutions
3) Name 3 Things I do not know about you

How true...!!
and said to him.
"You will be a donkey. You will work un-tiringly from sunrise to sunset
carrying burdens on your back. You will eat grass,
you will have no intelligence and you will live 50 years."
The donkey answered:
"I will be a donkey, but to live 50 years is much. Give me only 20 years"
God granted his wish.
............ ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... .....
!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!!!
God created the dog
and said to him:
"You will guard the house of man. You will be his best Friend.
You will eat the scraps that he gives you and you will live 30 years.
You will be a dog. "
The dog answered:
"Sir, to live 30 years is too much, give me only 15 years.
" God granted his wish.
............ ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......
!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!
God created the monkey
and said to him:
"You will be a monkey. You will swing from branch to branch doing tricks.
You will be amusing and you will live
20 years. "
The monkey answered:
"To live 20 years is too much, give me only 10 years."
God granted his wish.
............ ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... .....
!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!
Finally God created man ...
and said to him:
"You will be man, the only rational creature on the face of the earth.
You will use your intelligence to become master over all the animals.
You will dominate the world and you will live 20 years."
Man responded:
"Sir, I will be a man but to live only
20 years is very little,
give me the 30 years that the donkey refused,
the 15 years that the dog did not want and
the 10 years the monkey refused.
" God granted man's wish
............ ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ....
And since then, man lives
20 years as a man ,
marries and spends
30 years like a donkey,
working and carrying all the burdens on his back.
Then when his children are grown,
he lives 15 years like a dog taking care of the house
and eating whatever is given to him,
so that when he is old,
he can retire and live 10 years like a monkey,
going from house to house and from one son or
daughter to another doing tricks to amuse his grandchildren.

Mawi melawat Dubai... Dubai menakjubkan

Oleh SHAKILAWATI ABD RAHMAN
shakilawati@ hmetro.com. my
DUBAI melengkapi kembara Langkah Mawi World.
“Menyaksikan Jumana — Secret of the Desert Laser Show juga tidak kurang hebatnya.
“Penggambaran berakhir di Dubai World Trade Centre. Di kesempatan ini saya ingin mengucapkan ribuan terima kasih kepada Astro Ria, KTO, Visit Britain, DTCM, Gulf Air, media, kru dari Ethnic Network, Maestro Talent dan semua individu yang terlibat secara langsung dan tidak langsung menjayakan Langkah Mawi World,” kata Mawi yang berharap penonton tidak melepaskan peluang menonton empat episod rakaman penggambaran di Dubai di Astro Ria, setiap Ahad, jam 5 petang.
note : desert safari - done, ski dubai - done, hatta mountain - done, abra to cross the creek - done, Jumana secret of the desert - done, spice souk - done, Gold souk - done, Dubai museum - done... yang tak cuba lagi - Chill out (bar ais batu, sejuk weh!!), and Naif Souk - tak minat lah nak pegi shopping2 kain nih... lagipun Naif souk baru jer terbakar sebulan lepas... now you see, now you don't!!!
Choosing a wife...
A man wanted to get married. He was having trouble choosing among three likely candidates. He gives each woman a present of $5,000 and watches to see what they do with the money.
The first does a total makeover. She goes to a fancy beauty salon, gets her hair done, new makeup; buys several new outfits and dresses up very nicely for the man. She tells him that she has done this to be more attractive for him because she loves him so much.
The man was impressed.
The second goes shopping to buy the man gifts. She gets him a new set of golf clubs, some new gizmos for his computer, and some expensive clothes. As she presents these gifts, she tells him that she has spent all the money on him because she loves him so much.
Again, the man is impressed.
The third invests the money in the stock market. She earns several times the $5,000. She gives him back his $5,000 and reinvests the remainder in a joint account. She tells him that she wants to save for their future because she loves him so much.
Obviously, the man was impressed.
The man thought for a long time about what each woman had done with the money he'd given her.
Then....................... he married the one with the biggest tits.
Men are like that, you know. There is more money being spent on breast implants and Viagra today than on Alzheimer's research. This means that by 2040, there should be a large elderly population with perky boobs and huge erections and absolutely no recollection of what to do with them.....
If you don't share this to five OLD friends right away there will be five fewer people laughing in the world.

Pride or Shame...?

First Muslim Battalion Guards the Queen
120 soldiers of the Royal Malay Regiment have become the first all-Islamic Company to provide a British monarch's ceremonial guard. Report by Shell Daruwala.

komen2 dari kengkawan kat Dubai:

"Janganlah kita terlalu angkuh umpama Malaysia ni dah maju sampai tak payah merendahkan diri (humble). Kalau RMR pergi guard kat palace tu, dapat dijadikan publisiti untuk mempromosikan sektor perlancongan kita, apakah salahnya? Hakikatnya, dan ia akan kekal dalam sejarah selama lamanya ialah Malaysia suatu ketika dulu merupakan sebuah negara di bawah jajahan Great Britain. Ini merupakan satu hakikat dan kita harus menerimanya. Tak payah rasa malu malu."

Annually, at least one cadet from Malaysia offered a place at Sandhurst for the gruelling 44 weeks course before being commission as 2nd Lieutenant in the Malaysian Army. Even former Agung,Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin also underwent training as a Cadet Officer in Sandhurst from January 1964 until December 1965.

moving to Riyadh...?

- in Malaysia, had pbms gttng multiple entry Visa, cuma single entry Visa jer dapat
- went back to Dubai first before going to Riyadh, coz was supposed to go there with CEO (who is also based in Dubai). Trip to Riyadh was delayed and delayed, there was no coordination between the guys in Riyadh & CEO in Dubai..., suddenly one day, the guys in Riyadh told me that I have to go to Riyadh asap because if not, my single entry Visa would expire... so had to go to Riyadh in a sudden... trip was supposed to be for max 3 weeks (time to process my resident visa for Saudi Arabia)
- arrived in Riyadh, was sent to stay in a "motel" - no star hotel
- Bilik tak ada tingkap, rasa mcm dlm penjara
- Bilik air bermasalah… berbau.. cuma dapat pindah bilik selepas 2 minggu…
- Resident Visa (Iqama) couldn't be ready as initially predicted, after 3 weeks, was told that it will take another, min 4 weeks to get Iqama card
- moved to another service apartment/hotel 3 weeks after arriving to Riyadh
- Tempat tinggal jauh dari tempat kerja. Pergi opis naik pick up truck, drebar no speaking English
- was told by Sheikh that he wants me to be in Riyadh permanently, instead of being based in Dubai and going to Riyadh every month... no adtnl allowances, anything... just stay in Riyadh... was stunned...
- CEO (who hired me) was fired... COO became acting CEO
- Just realized that COO tak gheti amende pasal smart card. COO has no idea on products that he is supposed to be in charge of (as a non technical person, I have more product knowledge than him - ratio 2 our of 3).
- Visa/MC certification for the perso centre still not there... earliest end May...
- reporting structure is very centralized... everything goes back to Pak Sheikh... no action taken before final approval by Pak Sheikh... (dunno what the CEO/COO are supposed to do if everything goes back to Pak Sheikh)
- Opis tak teratur, young staff without experince
- People in KSA don't really speak English, and I no speaking Arabic... a challenge that I face not only in business but also in day to day life
- power struggle between anak2 menantu Pak Sheikh & COO
- Iqama tak siap2 selepas 1.5 bulan, after making noise, finally they tell me that I can go back to Dubai to settle my stuffs in Dubai, and move to Riyadh.... they will do something to get my Iqama fast and I get a new Visa to go to Riyadh again (my Visa was single entry Visa remember...?)
- finally took off from Riyadh, after 30mn in air, flight came back to Riyadh, technical pbm... waited 5 hours, transfered to a new flight (free seating for all)... the whole trip to go back Dubai took 9 hours all together (from arriving to airport, to arriving to home in Dubai)
now with all above events happening, tell me guys... should I move to Riyadh?
apa kata survey....??
most probably not. will start looking for a new job asap - the current company is not a company that you would want to be working with. if I do not get a job, then will go to Riyadh, but hopefully, will find another job before end of this month. if yes, will resign with immediate effect (am still on probation period until end May...)
that's the decision for now.... wish me luck...!!
the perso centre
