Daaahhhh separuh tahun...!

celik tutup, celik tutup, celik tutup.... dah 1 Julai 2009... dah separuh tahun... hmmm, what have I achieved so far this year...? hmmm.... big question mark... but never mind... still have 6 months to play catch up even though I am not so sure that I can... Nevertheless, am looking at the glass half full... manalah tahu, ntah2 bulan July, August nih, gua strike gold...!! dapat order baguih2 punya cukup utk cover satu tahun punya target... kan, kan, kan....? haha...!

ok, immediate important/semi-important event 2nd half of 2009 :

• bulan Julai nih gua kena pindah rumah baru... moving to Dubai itself from Sharjah... tq Sharjah, but I really cannot tahan the traffic jam going to work & coming back... so tq Sharjah... Dubai, here I come...

• bulan Julai nih jugak (hopefully after I move), Alex Firdaus insyaAllah akan dtg... gi jumpa customers dia laaa...

• awal bulan Ogos, insyaAllah Haizam dtg ziarah sehari dua

• then hujung Ogos, posa...!! yeah...!!

• then Sep, gua balik cuti raya...!! yeah...!!! balik guna tiket tahunan balik kampung, so balik naik Emirates of course...!! hehe... flight dah book dah... sampai KL 4 days before raya, balik Dubai... errr, 2 minggu lepaih tuh... hehe... raya sakan...! dah plan gi cuti2 Mesia sekali... Langkawi jer...

• lepas tuh... what happen huh...? hmm... dunno yet... we'll see... the plan is confirmed until awal October sajork....

itulah sajaaaa.... looking forward to bulan posa & raya...!!

joke bodoh kat opis : Momo was jealous to see that my holiday application has been approved... so he said that he would apply for some days off as well... 1 week before raya... to spend time doing good deeds, "repent", and ask for God's forgiveness during the last few days of Ramadan...

somebody answered,... "why? why like that? what, you think God wanna forgive you one huh...? your case huh, sure go to hell one you know...!! no hesitation, no turning back....!! confirm one...!!!"... kuang, kuang, kuang....!!!

Yang ini pulak, queue extra spesial khusus utk kaum Ibu sahaja... (dan keluarga...). kalo semua passenger lelaki, cannot take this taxi, kalo mix, OK, kalo mak2 dan anak2 lagi OK...!! Company nih sure si Pinky tuh punya la kut... semua pink jer...!!

dia punya drebar pun pakai baju & tudung warna pink jugak...!!

Err... Pink ape huh bahasa melayu...? oh ya... merah jambuuuuuu....!! :D

A bit busy...

sebab first time pegi, maka tersilap jalanlah dua tiga kali pusing... sampai nak masuk ke Wild Wadi lak... (eh, yg itu belum pegi lagi...!! haha...)

betapa gumbiranya rasa dihati...!! terutama apabila gua memang tahu yang bukan gua yang akan bayar...!! lol...!!!

tersampailah hajat nak ke Burj Al Arab.... amin ya rabbal alamiiinnnnnn...!

sampai2 jer, terus posing kat lobby... apa lagi...! gambo harus diambil buat kenangan selama2nya...:)

starter... memang style mewah... not the quantity, but the presentation and above all the quality... memang sedap ya amat...!!

this one is cheese + tomato + olive... hmm, so so...

smoked salmon + orange, plus the cheese + tomato + olive... yg salmon + oren tuh memang power sedap

Danish pastries + roti "kuaci" + udang, the danish pastries tuh memang menawan hati dan sedap ya amat. have never seen danish pastries presented as these 2... nampak buah2 yg dipotong kecil dihiaskan atas & dalam pastries tuh... dihias with full of passion, I guess..

sushi sashimi... with caviar on top of them...!! perghh...!!

caviar...!! macam2 jenih ada... but only found 1 type which I like, yg lain tuh, a bit too salty laa... caviar nih, telur ikan mentah... boley....?

(AED495 per head for the buffet, plus AED55 for the VOSS "dara" water... haha..)..
Nasib baik it was not me who paid, if not, my mom would kill me when I get home....

The trick is not to consume too much of drinks... they will charge you arms and legs for drinks... (err,... juices are included in the buffet, but not water and other drinks... )

I have heard mix reviews about Burj Al Arab dining experience... my opinion, don't go for the "hi-tea"... just take your time and go for Fri brunch buffet... from 10am to 3pm... get a nice spot, and you will have a breathtaking view... (jgn ambil the spot in the middle of the restaurant with the view of the open sea only... can get bored maa... we were lucky, we had a table at the side of the restaurant, so we had the view of Dubai, we could see Burj Dubai (tallest building in the world currently), could also see "The World" (but nothing there yet laa... just some reclaim islands...), Jumeirah beach... and of course the open sea...!!

again, kepada yg belanja makan ari tuh, tq, tq, tq...!! :)

p/s sampai rumah, terkentut2 power semalaman sampai rasa macam boley isi satu belon besar utk balik KL...!!!

after reading what was on the paper, paused for awhile... then, terlompat2 ketawa...!! :D

I can imagine the guy, while typing/printing/photocopying and/or putting the flyer on the windscreen, shaking his head non stop......!!!!! hahahahaha....

Memang gua rasa mulut gua ada sket rasa masin laaa….

Baru jer last wknd complaint sebab kena langgar by one car... guess what happened today…? Alaaa… teka laaa.., teka….!! (ala2 main tikam dulu2…;))

Pagi nih, went to the office early as usual… sebab masih ada masa, I went to the bank in a nearby building, hal aper lagi, hal Emirates Bank yg tak tentu hala, deduct my monthly car loan installment twice, dan lepaih tuh, charge me some more for apparently late payment…. Hellllllooooo….!! Nak mampos…?!!! (to be fair, Emirates Bank has just recently upgraded their backend system, dan segala menda jadik huru hara lepaih tuh… am not the only victim, akaun company pun dah hancur kucar kacir, that the boss is so upset about it and instructed Radha to move the company account to another bank…)

So pegilah ke bangunan tuh with my car, parked the car then go to bank branch… ingatkan bukak jam 8am, tapi branch kat tempat keghojer nih, bukak jam 9am pulak… Hampeh…!! So, go back opis loorrr…

Tak tahulah kenapa… tengah pikio pasai amende ler agaknya… I get into the car, and slowly reverse the car….

Gua sudah langgar sama satu kereta yg tengah berenti perpendicular to the car park…!! Astaghfirullaaahhhh….!!! ”Ape ke he”nya boley jadik cam tu pulak…?

Tadi masa nak ke kereta, tak nampak pun any other car parked behind.... it was like 8am in the morning, not many car yet near that area… and I was reversing the car carelessly without looking behind properly…

Cepat2 turun, tengok drebar dia….!! Ahhh… Sh*t…!! Nampak gaya macam Emarati lady, kereta dia kereta Infiniti…!! Keter mahai tuh….!!! Alamakkkkk…!!!

Dia bukak pintu, gua teghuih mintak maaf profusely… quickly admitted that it was my fault (abih tuh, salah saper lagi…?)… gosok2 kat calar2 kereta dia tuh (again sambil mintak maaf profusely…), and said to her that I will pay for the repair work that need to be done (to at least repaint the scratched area, no dent, just scratches)…

Kakak Emarati nih pulak dia pi phone kawan dia (mintak “backup reinforcement” ler tuh agaknya….). sambil dia tengah bincang2 arab dgn kawan dia, gua terdengar dia cakap…. “Philippines....!!” errr.... quickly, I cut her conversation,... “errr… excuse me, am not Filipino….”, memang pantang org cakap gua Pinoy… mintak tolong sket…!! (sempat lagi tuh…!! Haha…)

Dia cakap kat gua dgn nada tak puas ati…., “Why you hit me? My car so big, you cannot see…? We are in parking… how can you hit me? why?”

“this is bad…!! I just had anthr accident earlier today…!! And now a 2nd one…”… tambah dia lagi… kaedahnyaaaa…!!! (gua terdetik kat ati…). Fuuhhhh…!!! Must be a very bad day (and it has just started, it was 8am, remember…?)..

Gua cakap mintak maap banyak2 again… and told her not to worry, I will do the necessary to get the car repaired/repainted… “don’t get this accident to upset you and spoil your day”, gua cakap (again, baru 8am tuhhhh…!! I can imagine how she feels…). Gua tried to calm her down, she was obviously upset & pasrah at the same time… (like she has accepted the fact that today would be a sh*tty day…!!)… Told her not to get upset, don’t worry about it, and I will take care of it….

bila dia dah calm down Kakak Emarati nih, … dia kata, “lemme talk to my fren, and we’ll decide what to do…”… dlm ati teman… “melayanglah duit aku bulan nih utk repaint keter dia…”

Gua tunggu2 dia sembang dgn kawan dia… lepaih tuh, bila dia dah abis sembang, dia kata… “nevermind, you go…. But you drive carefully after this…”

Perrghhhh….!!!! Gua said thank you and mintak maap sekali lagi… gua cepat2 ciao sebelum kakak Emarati nih tukar pikiran…. Hehe…

Fuuuhhhh semangat….!!

Hmmm… tu lah akibatnya bila careless mcm nih… tak bangun tido lagi agaknya… anyhow… To that Kakak Emarati, agn… gua mintak maap ler sebab meninggalkan bekas on your car… and tenkiu very much for your kind understanding….

Terpikio jugak nak offer dia gua belanja makan… but, but, better ciao sebelum dia tuko pikiran… lagipun, nak mampos gi offer belanja kat pompuan Emarati…? Kang dia kata gua buat indecent advances lak kang…!! Lariiikkkk…..!!!!

Itulah depa kata..., ”what goes around, comes around....!!!”... rite…?

Retail therapy...

Sempena kena langgar, gua was so upset, that bila gua pegi dubai mall, and gua nampak kedai nih buat promosi gila2 punya, gua pun terus buat retail therapy....

2 jam tuh, teman punya... yang satu lagi tuh, tauku buku punya.... perghhh....!!! 45% discount tuh....!! maka sebab teman memang ler tengah mencari2 jam utk menggantikan jam lapuk yg teman beli kat Petaling street (ahaksss...!!!), apa lagi... borong abis lerr....!!

all together 5 watches, 3 teman punya, 2 lagi tuh tauke buku punya... yg paling mahai, jam si tauke buku tuh (Lacoste)... perggghhh...!! memang dahsat... Damagenya :

• 1 jam Lacoste (bukan teman punya)
• 2 jam Kenneth Cole (dua2 teman punya)
• 2 jam DKNY (satu teman punya, satu lagi tauke buku punya...)

itu belum start Dubai Summer Surprises lagi (sale period : starting this wknd)... baik elak2kan pegi ke shopping mall sebulan akan dtg nih... kang abih duit kat situ jer kang....!!

The other side of Dubai....

Hari tuh kita citer2 pasai org2 kat UAE yg tersangat honest dan baik yang memulangkan hengpong2 yg tertinggal... hari nih, kita citer pulak pasai skill memandu depa yg memang hancus terbarai...

my car sudah kemek sana sini sebab kereta diparkir on street parking kat rumah, dan kena langgar dek anonymous driver yg tak reti memandu... you wake up one fine day, and discover that there is anthr bump on your car which you let overnite... memang sakit hati dibuatnya.. tapi nak buat camna... tinggai kat Sharjah, mid to low income family area yg juga selalu bermakna depa yg tak gheti2 bawak kereta (yg selalunya 2nd hand, atau kereta lama yg depa couldn't care less...). kereta gua yg dah kemek2 tuh, gua biar dulu, pindah dubai nanti, gua baru repair... kalo tak, siksa jiwa dan raga kalo kena langgar lagi...

1st Jan 2008, I was hit by a car (filipino young driver) yg tak menentu rodok keter teman from behind... masa tuh, baru nak balik from tengok fireworks new year... nasib baik not a big damage (si Ravi tuh tinggi sket...)

wknd lepas, teman kena rodok lagi dek drebar nih (kat fish market area, near to Shindagha tunnel)... agn, nasib baik si Ravi tuh tinggi, so no damage ler... (kalo keter salon, memang dah kemek dah...). yg geramnya, si drebar nih, tak apologetic langsung... siap tanya lagi, so how...? no damage, no need to do anything.... senangnya dia cakap... sakit ati gua... gua kata either bayar compensation, atau buat police report.... dia kata police report, gua call polis, polis kata dtg balai... so teman kata kat drebar tuh, let's go to the balai...

naik keter, dia terus ciao jer....!!! huaaaa....!! lagi sakit ati teman dibuatnya...!! memang ler depa nih... nasib baik dia, I was also in a hurry, I went to balai, tapi menengokkan queue yg panjang, langsung kensel nak buat police report.... hmmm...

apa depa ingat keter nih macam keter lembu ker...? main hantam saja sana sini... keter gua, baru 2.5 tahun, tapi rupa dah 5 tahun lebih... pindah dubai in July, gua akan repair apa yg patut... promise...!!

ini keter dia, kemek immatriculation nbr...

keter gua... nothing much ler... scratches only, sebab sebenornya, dia langgar bumper warna itam tuh (agn, nasib baik si Ravi nih tinggi sket...)



drebar yg sungguh tak bersopan... memang gua sakit ati dgn dia nih... kalo nak buat report police, memang sah kena saman & tangkap most probably... kira kes langgar lari laaa...



nasib dia baik gua dpt bersabar... kalo lembu jantan nih mengamok...., abis laaa dia... kasi chance jer tak buat repot polis... pikir punya pikir, I start to think that it might not be a good idea to buy a brand new car in Dubai (unless you stay at a mid to high end residential area, and you have a proper parking at home...)...
