Work has been OK… so far so good… a part from losing the laptop last time (which made me feel a bit guilty, dah la hilang laptop company, lepas tuh company kena bayarkan tiket balik Malaysia utk buat passport baru – dunno if can claim from insurance or not, then I was away in Malaysia for 1 week not doing anything, coz no laptop maaa….), everything has been smooth flowing…
Haven’t brought in any sales yet, but something should come in soon (working on 2 tenders, one of which is 80% confirmed dpt sales, the other one, dunno yet coz very “poltical” one… hoping that our agent can get us in through his connections). Some accounts are just too stubborn (finding ways to bypass the gatekeepers), some are not in buying mode now – so have to wait till the time comes… But no worries, these sales will come, they are in the pipeline…
In the office, things are livelier, somehow…. Zeeshan resigned, and instead of serving his 3 month notice period, the company has decided to let him go asap… that was a surprise, he came in one morning, the boss called him into the mtng room, then when he came out, he told us that he was leaving the company at the end of the day… it surely did make the people in the office a bit worried… but then, Zeeshan knew that it was coming, he has not been performing that well, so when he resigned, the company just told him that he could leave earlier…
Then a new colleague came in – Mohammad Tagelsir Hasan, a new technical consultant. Sudanese, Arab, have been in UAE since he was 4yo, fresh grad, 24yo now, still very green… It brought some freshness into the office, being young, happy go lucky, sometimes a bit naïve, we have a “ball” teasing him, making jokes, and “bullying” him in the office… nothing bad, just some practical jokes, or some stupid answers to some of his queries when it comes to work… we get a long great, and in the office, we are cracking jokes from time to time, making it more “humane”… arrival of Mohammad has really brought some freshness into the office… tunggulah bila dia dah sibuk, busy, tension with workload… berkuranganlah senyum ketawa dia… haha…
Next week will have an exhibition, GSM>3G Middle East at World Trade Centre Dubai. We are organizing a workshop a day earlier to some of our GSM customers… so Sunday, will be at the workshop (attending the workshop myself, boley belajo about company new products, and entertaining customers), then Mon & Tue will be at the exhibition. Will be manning our stand. Previous company will also be there, and they also have a stand, may be will go and see them to say hi… (if they are not hostile to me… for joining competition… haha..). so next week, will be out of office for the first 3 days…
Talking about the previous company, it seems that the office politics is still very much alive and going strong… macam2 cerita dengar dari si “auntie” (ex-colleague there)… dahsat…!! I just wonder how people play their games in the office in trying to get promotion, better position, increment, and to secure their position in the company etc etc. lecey jugak bila ada office politics culture yg terlalu ketara…
Some time back, there was an opening in the previous company in Singapore, somebody informed me about it, therefore I applied… Marketing manager position. The guy in Singapore checked on me with the previous boss in the previous company (ex-boss in Dubai). It seems that he is the kind of guy who thinks that whoever leaves the company should never come back…. So he was totally against my application. Am fine with that… But what was a bit surprising is that it seems that he also added some “sensational” not true stories into the whole situation… I was a bit surprised by what he did… why would he do that? What was his logic? He has nothing to loose from me joining back the company in Singapore, and I seriously don’t think that I have made him angry, or didn’t do my job while I was there… strange… well, some people have some strange reasoning/way of thinking… no hal, life goes on… from time to time, still looking for an opportunity either for a better paying job, or to go back somewhere nearer to home…. Ada rezeki, adalah tu…
Meanwhile, the current boss in Sagem Orga is pregnant, she will be giving birth by the end of this month. So she will be away on Christmas and New Year holiday, and to give birth at the same time… expecting a baby boy… anak sulung… Boss nih jenis workaholic sket… so dia cuti untuk bersalin cuma 2 minggu jer… itupun, in conjunction with Christmas & New Year hldy…. Memang dahsat… caesarian ler agaknya… aku takut dia balik kang tak cukup rehat lagi, dan mulalah cranky kat opis… lately nih pun (sebab dah sarat mengandung agaknya), she has been a bit cranky…. Sabar2 jer lah… nak jumpa dia, kena check if she is in a good mood or not… kalau bad mood, baik postpone esok… haha…
Btw, this month banyak gak holiday…. Had a 5 day long wknd last week, kerja 2 hari, then weekend again… next week will have a full week, the following week will have another 5 day long weekend (sempena Christmas & Awal Muharam)… then the following week will have a 3 day long weekend sempena tahun baru 2009… hmmm… banyak berehat tuh… kerja pun jalan slow sket, coz customers are all away on holiday as well (well, they had 11 day holiday for Raya Haji… jeles jap.. haha…). After that, full swing for work… at least for 6 months… until summer holiday…
Terpikir gak gua… plan nak balik Mesia in March jadik ker tak…? Might not be a good idea to be away when the customers are all in full swing working on projects… kang ada yang dpt calls masa tengah hldy… Tuh yang spoil hldy tuh…. Well, we’ll see when the time comes…

Bermacam-macam kat office, biar yang baru atau yang lama. Politic tu memang kat mana-mana pun ada lah Kingkong kan. Kat office Josh pun, kekadang josh macam nak cari kerja tempat lain je.

Cayoi... bersyukur ajer lah... kalau ada keghojer, buat ler keghojernyer... kalau dah tak ade keghojer tuh, duduk diam2 jgn "mencari keghojer..." yg lebey2.... kalau relax2 tuh, buat ler aper2 yg patut, mengait baju ker (dengo kabonya, "knitting" is back in fashion...), atau tambahkan blog entries, sure happening nyer...:)
Inah, memang pun... rezeki ada kat mana2... kena usaha carik jer... rajin carik, rajin berdoa... adalah tuh.. errr Ostolia huh...? hmmm... tak pernah terlintas nak keghojer kat sana... pegi holiday2 mungkin ada la kut... haha...
Josh... tu lah... dunno la what these people thinking in their head... I oso cannot understand... bawak bersabo jer lah Josh... the truth will prevail... kerja OK jer, syukur... less stress than in previous company, but less pay oso laaa... haha...
