2nd year anniversary....

pejam celik, pejam celik, congak atas bawah kiri kanan depan belakang... tup tup dah 2 tahun gua kat sini in Middle East... kejap jer dah 2 tahun... masa datang dulu cadangnya akan stay kat region nih mungkin 5 tahun sebelum balik Mesia.... tapi fikir2, kalau dapat kerja bagus kat Mesia skrng... memang confirm nak balik... hehehe.... rindu la kat family, kat buah hati (eh ada kerrr...?), kat makanan2 Mesia, demo2 yg skrng tengah menjadik2 kat KL, kisah2 politik2 Mesia yg penuh sensasi kalah Bollywood story... dan macam2 lagilah...!!!

So what are the things that I have learned so far for the past 2 years (new stuffs, funny stuffs, awkward stuffs etc etc...) :

• if we call this place Middle East, where we come from is call "Far East".... huaaa.... sounds like so far one...!! as a matter of fact, I have never thought that we are from Far East… South East Asia is Far East one huh…? Oklah, whatever lah….


• People still talk Tagalog to me… and it still bothers me a bit… nak buat camna, serumpun katakan… Pinoy pun Pinoy laaa… Kanasai…!!!


• Dubai is a great city, but also gttng more and more expensive… in act of desperation (I guess), some people find some creative ways of “con” other people (to make more money). This is especially true when it comes to real estate/apartment rental… just renewed my annual rental contract for the current apartment, and I know that I have been overcharged for some contract processing fees… but can’t make too much noise about it, coz these agents work like Mafia and you’ll get yourself into trouble if you try to act smart…. I just let go coz, compared to the current market, I am still paying quite low for the apartment.


• People come here to make more money so that they can send money home… I am more or less in the similar situation… so have to maximize income, and minimize expenditure… really have to control my enjoy2 outings here… sometimes, somehow I forget about it, and spend more than I should… and savings pun berkurang ler…


• I have gained weight… people really eat here, and you tend to do the same… and food is not that healthy (especially the cheap food… biriyani/biriyani/biriyani…)… really have to exercise actively again…(alaaaa… malasnyer…!! hehehe…).. and of course, control my food intake… ntah biler biler nyer nak slim balik masa zaman2 20an dulu… *sigh* look forward to bulan Ramadan…!
